Birgitte Qvist-Sørensen resigned on Friday 26 January for family reasons. She has been with DanChurchAid for 13 years, initially as Head of International Department and the last nine years as Secretary-General.
“A large thanks to Birgitte, who has taken on an important task and brought DanChurchAid to a very strong position. After 100 years, DanChurchAid is still an important and recognised organisation,” said Marianne Hoff Andersen, chairperson of the DanChurchAid board.

50-year-old Jonas Nøddekær has been employed at DanChurchAid for 23 years, the last seven years as International Director. He has been stationed in Ethiopia, Cambodia, and Myanmar for DanChurcAid. Jonas Nøddekær holds a degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen.
DanChurchAid collaborates with more than 200 local partners in 20 countries. The organisation provides long-term development aid and emergency relief, with a turnover of approximately one billion Danish kroner last year.
