At DanChurchAid, we ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations through a comprehensive control system. The compliance system is particularly important in order to live up to the core values of DanChurchAid, and it contributes to the transparency and accountability of DanChurchAid – both in Denmark and in the individual countries where we work.

In order to ensure that policies and guidelines are followed, DanChurchAid depends on its dedicated employees and the relevant departments within the regions. For example, DanChurchAid’s procurement department in Denmark, together with all the procurement employees in the countries where we work, is responsible for all compliance work concerning procurement both internally at DanChurchAid, but also with respect to our partners.
DanChurchAid has a department of Strategy Development and Quality Assurance, which is responsible for ensuring that the entire organisation follows a uniform approach to the development, implementation and closure of projects and programmes. This department maintains a general overview of all fields related to compliance and coordinates compliance tasks across the organisation when needed. In addition, the department ensures that there is a consistent approach to DanChurchAid’s programmes and projects, and that the results meet the applicable quality standards by means of the programme and project manual.
